TezQuakeAid, a collective initiative within the Tezos community, has emerged for solidarity in times of humanitarian disasters. Dedicated to swiftly responding to crises, TezQuakeAid is on a mission to raise funds and donations for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) actively engaged in rescue operations, relief efforts, and support for survivors.
TezQuakeAid’s journey began in early 2023 when a devastating earthquake struck Turkey and Syria. In the face of this tragedy, the Tezos community united, demonstrating their commitment to assisting those in dire need. This swift response led to the establishment of TezQuakeAid, which has since become a vital force in organizing emergency fundraising campaigns within the Tezos ecosystem.
The grassroots initiative has successfully raised around 120,000 Tezos for the Turkey and Syria aid, thanks to the artists and collectors whose generous contributions bolstered the relief efforts. These valuable donations were thoughtfully allocated to organizations selected by Turkish and Syrian artists within the community, including:
1- AHBAP, a prominent Turkish NGO, and the primary recipient of donations for Turkey. 2- Syrian American Medical Society Foundation (SAMS). 3- Save the Children. 4- Syrian Relief Fund of the International Red Cross. 5- INARA – International Network for Aid, Relief, and Assistance.

To date, the relief efforts have raised a total of 9,300 Tezos in support of the relief initiatives for Morocco and Libya.
Due to the pressing nature of the situation, the first disbursement of funds will be specifically designated for medical assistance. TezQuakeAid has chosen to allocate these initial funds to the dedicated relief efforts by the French Red Cross for Morocco’s earthquake and Libya’s flood victims.

Option 1: Mint Artwork under TezQuakeAid Initiative Artists can mint their creations under the TezQuakeAid initiative, utilizing the hashtag #TezQuakeAid. A minimum of 50% or more of the proceeds from the sale of artwork should be allocated to the donation wallet to qualify for participation in this initiative.
Option 2: Auction/Sell Existing Artwork and Directly Donate XTZ Alternatively, artists can choose to auction or sell their existing artwork and contribute the XTZ (Tezos cryptocurrency) raised directly to tezquakeaid.tez. Your direct donation will play a crucial role in supporting the relief efforts in Morocco and Libya.
For Collectors:
Option 1: Collectors are encouraged to acquire artwork that has been minted or sold under the TezQuakeAid initiative. By doing so, you not only support the artists but also contribute to the humanitarian aid efforts for Morocco and Libya.
Option 2: Participate in the relief efforts by curating, promoting, and sharing artwork created by artists participating in the initiative and artists from the affected regions.
Option 3: Directly Contribute XTZ to the QuakeAid.tez.
