Hackathons are events that are organized to increase developer interest and often include free courses and mentors.

This makes hackathons a great way to start building on a certain blockchain. But also for advanced developers hackathons are a great opportunity to learn more and tap into the exclusive resources that hackathons offer.

The Tezos DeFi hackathon 2022 offers technical mentors with advanced knowledge of the Tezos blockchain and its smart contract languages.

Tezos supports the low-level language Michelson, dialects of Pascal, Python, JS, Lorentz, and even Solidity via the Sol2Ligo transpiler.

Additionally, teams will be supported by dedicated team mentors that will be able to assist in organizing and planning the work for this month-long hackathon.

Partner’s Challenges

There are specific partners challenges that can be solved during the hackathon:

– Plenty DeFi: A marketplace for liquidity bonds to contribute to stopping outflow of liquidity from pools.

– Kolibri: Alternative frontend for farms, pools and ovens on Kolibri

– Quipuswap: a proze-for-all-lottery that increases liquidity pool levels with players’ funds.

– SalsaDAO: Put and call options that utilizes Tezos’ native Harbinger oracle

– Ubinetic: A game with random oracle-based parameters. Including a uUSD betting option.

– Tezos Domains: Dappetizer-based API with UI compares the pair exchange rates across different DEXs and shows current and past opportunities for arbitrage deals.

Tezotopia – A game that uses the concept of state channels for upscaling. It has to use UNO as in-game currency.

– Juster: Custom bets with custom logic based on Juster.fi

– Flame DeFi: A service that either grants access to users who have an x token on balance or charges them ervery second in x tokens.

– Crunchy DeFi: A decentralized bridge to transfer assets between Avalange (AVAX) and Tezos both ways.

Prize pool of $200,000

This Tezos hackathon is the biggest blockchain hackathon in Eastern Europe with a total prize pool of $200,000. Teams can win up to $55,000.

Teams can win $10,000 for the best solution to a partner’s challenge. One team can win up to two challenges per team totaling the possible partners’ challenges prize money per team to $20,000.

Additionally, teams can win money from the prize pool for the best team.

These prizes are up to $35,000 for the best teams. An independent panel of judges will decide the team’s rankings.

5th place — $5,000

6th place — $5,000

7th place — $5,000
