Tezos-based NFT platform Versum is likely to launch tomorrow.
Versum aims to set itself apart from the current NFT platforms by trying to set a higher standard in several areas: art-focused and personalized user experience, decentralization, and scalability.
Art-focused And Personalized User Experience
The design aims for a more art-focused experience and a more organic way of personalized art discovery.
By designing a minimalistic UI, the user should be met by art first instead of stats, metrics, and other information, once they enter Versum.
Statistics like number and value of sales, amount of likes, views, followers, and other metrics are ignored. Instead, users can personalize their feeds.
This might be a process and it might take some time to get a personalized feed of your liking, but it does return the control to the user instead of the general consensus of what others like.
Versum gives its users extra tools to personalize their feed more efficiently.
You can follow other collectors or artists. You can discover and create “boards” (a list or gallery) which contribute to your personalized feed.
You can curate different types of boards such as photography boards, creative coding boards, monochrome boards, illustration boards, etc.
You can also follow boards curated by other users.
Boards can be private or public. Public boards can be followed by anyone, while private boards are only visible to you. Use them to organize your collection, or to create a wish list — anything you want.
Decentralization
Versum also holds decantralization as an important goal.
We’re providing the safety net of decentralized storage through IPFS, fully embracing Web3.
Scalability
Scalability would enable faster loading times. We’ve applied scaling strategies in order for you to see more content, delivered faster.
To host our frontend, we use NextJS. This allows us to inherit framework features such as infinite scalability, intelligent edge caching, atomic deploys, and immutable asset preservation. For more information, visit Vercel’s infrastructure page.

The Versum Market
You’ll be able to make several types of trades on Versum:
– Swaps
There are two types of swaps: fixed price and advanced. Fixed price swaps are always sold at the same price, and advanced swaps have a defined start price and end price. The price will automatically adjust based on how many tokens are left.
– Auctions
A token goes up for auction with a minimum purchase price (in XTZ or FA2) and a duration (in hours).
– Offers
When an offer is made on a token any collector who has that token receives a notification asking if they would like to sell this token (in XTZ or FA2).
Tokens can be purchased with XTZ but also any other type of FA2 token (coming soon).
