Electis Roll Out Voting Solution For The French Social & Economic Committee Elections
Tezos-based digital voting solution Electis is now an official partner of the French Ministry of Labor.
The French Ministry of Labour is a government organization responsible for labor and social issues, and relations with social partners.
As a partner of the French Ministry of Labor, Electis is collaborating to apply their voting solution for the French French Social and Economic Committee elections.
In France, all companies with 11 or more employees must have a French Social and Economic Committee (French abbreviation = CSE), which is the staff representative body of a company.
The missions and operations of the CSE vary according to the number of employees in the company.
Beyond certain workforce thresholds, the power of the CSE grows. The members of the committees are democratically elected by the employees of the company.
“We conducted our first project with a French company at the end of last year and are now expanding to more companies. These elections are some of the few cases where formal elections can be held online in a legally binding way.” – Electis
With this project, Electis continues its momentum towards larger-scale election events and builds out its track record.
Electis has systematically scaled up its projects from voting for books at the local library in 2021 to the Municipal Youth Council Elections in 2023.
Electis is also used in Switzerland to introduce new Swiss residents that have not acquired their citizenship to the Swiss democratic system.
Additionally, Electis is used by organizations like The Association of Cryptocurrency Enterprises and Start-ups, Singapore (ACCESS), and by three organizations of the United Nations.
Democracy isn’t digitized by tomorrow, but Electis is taking this step by step and is methodically scaling upwards.
