Today, Altme has announced that all Tezos users can now add an identity to their favorite Tezos wallets, in just a few clicks.

Whether users are interacting with Temple, Kukai, Trust Wallet, Naan, Umami, Airgap, Autonomy, or any other Tezos wallet, this feature is designed to give them the ability to manage their decentralized identity seamlessly.

What is this new feature ?

With just a few clicks, Tezos users can now seamlessly benefit from decentralized identity and add it to their favorite Tezos wallet to prove anything about themselves in Web3.

No more cumbersome processes or complicated setups. Altme streamlines the integration, making it accessible to all Tezos enthusiasts, regardless of their technical expertise.

Imagine a world where users have complete ownership over their identity, where they can prove instantly anything about themselves in the digital world, in just a few clicks: their ID, their age, their nationality, their humanity (prove they are not bots), their regulation compliance (KYC, AML, MiCA…).

Altme brings this vision to life.

What is the Altme wallet ?

Altme DID Wallet is an open-source, non-custodial, multi-chain wallet that allows users to manage their digital assets (coins, NFTs), while also handling their digital identity.

The Altme wallet leverages the Decentralized Identity standard (DID), also known as Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), which empowers users to manage their digital identity in a decentralized, secure, and privacy-preserving way.

What is Decentralized Identity (DID) ?

Decentralized identity is like a set of reusable digital proofs that only the individual user controls.

Think of it as an advanced digital passport in the pocket—highly secured, reusable, easy to share, fraud-proof, instantly verifiable, and solely under the individuals control.

What can users do by pairing their favorite wallet with Altme ?

With this new feature, users can securely prove anything about their identity in the digital world to access any service they want with their favorite wallet.

Whether it’s accessing age-restricted platforms, regulated CeFi / DeFi platforms (for KYC, AML, MiCA compliance…), proving humanity to access a bot-free environment, and much more.

Here are a few concrete examples:

  • Want to access an age-restricted service? With Altme, it’s easy to prove age.
  • Want to access a bot-free environment? Users can use Altme to prove their humanity.
  • Want to showcase compliance with regulations such as KYC or Anti-Money Laundering (AML)? With Altme, users can do exactly that, in just a few clicks.

Ready to step into the future ?

All users need to do is pair their favorite Tezos wallet on Altme’s landing page.

They will then be able to add a “Proof of ownership” credential in their Altme wallet, proving they own a Tezos address managed in another wallet.

Once it’s done, users will be able to associate all digital proofs available in Altme: Proof of ID, Proof of age, Proof of humanity, and much more to their favorite Tezos wallet.

A concrete example with the Chainborn Membership card

To help users understand the process better, here is a short video example showcasing how users can link Altme’s Chainborn membership card, which is a DID credential, to their Tezos wallet without sharing any seed phrase or private keys: Chainborn Membership Card Example

Conclusion

Altme believe in empowering our users with control over their digital identities and are extremely happy to contribute to the Tezos ecosystem’s growth with this new product.

The Altme wallet is free to use and available for download on both Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

‘It’s time to take back control over your personal data and digital identity’
