Pixel Potus: NFT Collectables With A Competitive Element

In Pixel Potus you can collect NFTs of all the presidents of the United States (POTUS). You can collect Pixel Potus NFTs in the “Claim” tab in the menu.

You can collect a maximum of 6 NFTs per day and the first one is free. While you wait for your claim to be processed by the blockchain, you are treated to a random POTUS gif. All major Tezos wallets are supported on the Pixel Potus platform.

By collecting two or more of the same POTUS, you can burn them and upgrade to the next level of scarcity. The ultimate goal: reach Unique status.

Besides the fact that a unique NFT is obviously 1/1 and thus scarce and most valuable, anyone that reaches this status will receive a 25% payout of the treasury.

The treasury is filled by adding 20% of all claim and upgrade fees to the treasury smart contract.

The treasury smart contract is locked, which means that it is not possible to drain any XTZ from the contract under any circumstances other than by minting a unique POTUS.

The only changes that can be made via admin key are adding new series (new presidents every 4 years) and upgrading token artwork (adding animated gif versions and additional resolutions).

The Pixel Potus team also plans to offer POTUS-themed swag (t-shirts, etc) in the not-too-distant future. Any artwork that is sold, associated with the unique POTUS token owners will generate a royalty to whoever owns the unique token at the time of sale.

NFT market

Since there are 46 presidents and you’ll get every claimed POTUS NFT randomly, there’s not a huge chance that you’ll collect a lot of the same POTUS fast.

This is where the market comes in. Here you can offer your POTUS NFTs and trade them for NFTs you want.

You can choose to accept a specific POTUS in exchange for the POTUS you offer, or you can choose to accept XTZ. It’s recommended to choose to go after one or more specific POTUS NFTs and set the ones you don’t collect up for trade.

The highest price that’s paid so far on the market is 50 XTZ for an ‘Epic’ Lyndon B. Johnson NFT. This info can be found on the stats page.
