Blockchain mobility platform MVL announced that its Web3 mobility project has been successfully conducted with the support of Tezos Foundation.
MVL(Mass Vehicle Ledger) is a blockchain-based mobility company founded in 2018. It has connected the physical mobility environment built on the Southeast Asian market to the blockchain and is realizing a Web3 mobility world where ecosystem participants receive rewards for their contributions.
Currently, millions of participants are active in the MVL ecosystem based on the growth of practical businesses such as ride-hailing service TADA and ONiON Mobility, which produces electric vehicles and related infrastructure.
MVL has been working to revolutionize the mobility industry with blockchain technology, and since 2021 has been conducting technology development and field demonstration projects related to mobility blockchain with the grant and support of the Tezos Foundation.
The projects that have been conducted through the collaboration include the launch of a hybrid blockchain, the issuance of a driver passport NFT, and the development of a wallet that supports Tezos (XTZ) and Tezos sub-tokens.
Firstly, the two companies implemented mobility incentives based on the Tezos network through the Clutch Wallet on TADA, a ride-hailing service operated by MVL in Southeast Asia.
They successfully implemented a mobility incentive system that records and manages driver data on the Tezos network and pays rewards based on it. MVL Foundation has created about 64,000 driver’s passports, and continuous issuance is still ongoing along with the increase of TADA subscribers.
In particular, MVL’s Clutch wallet and Tezos network support function were jointly developed to enable TADA service users to easily receive, store, and use tokenized incentives on the Tezos network. They have already generated about 1,000 Tezos accounts for local drivers and riders in Southeast Asia, and incentives have been paid out.
MVL also conducted various event promotions to establish a successful Web3 mobility ecosystem.
They achieved significant results through various events, such as on-site advertising of Tezos wrapping on MVL’s ONiON T1 vehicle, and Tezos-based mini-games to enable users who are not yet familiar with virtual assets to access them easily as long as they have a mobile device.
Kay Woo, CEO of MVL, said:
“MVL has a vision to improve the lives of mobility workers in Southeast Asia and innovate the entire mobility market.
We have successfully established real business operations in the mobility industry in Southeast Asia for about six years since 2018 and achieved explosive growth. However, MVL’s ultimate goal is to achieve mobility innovation that is beyond the imagination of the mobility industry.
MVL will continue to strive for innovation and growth in the mobility industry through cooperation with various partners.”
