Google Cloud Partner With The Tezos Foundation
Google Cloud is a cloud computing platform that provides a wide range of cloud services, including computing, storage, networking, big data, machine learning, and more.
It is a set of tools and infrastructure that enables users to build, deploy, and manage applications and services in the cloud.
It is widely used by businesses of all sizes, startups, and developers to build and run their applications and services in the cloud.
Google Cloud offers a managed blockchain service called “Google Cloud Node Engine”, which allows developers to create and manage blockchain networks using blockchains.
In October 2022, it was announced that Ethereum would be the first public blockchain to be integrated with the blockchain node engine enabling developers to provision fully managed Ethereum nodes.
Now, Google Cloud has partnered with the Tezos Foundation to integrate Tezos into their blockchain and Web3-related product suite and allowing Google to become a validator on the Tezos blockchain.
The move will also allow Google Cloud customers to deploy their own nodes and indexers on Tezos.
Additionally, some specially selected startups incubated by Tezos will be eligible for Google Cloud credits and mentorship.
Daniël Rood, EMEA Head of Google Cloud Financial Services & Web3 said:
“We’re very pleased to announce Google Cloud’s partnership with Tezos.
In partnership with the Tezos Foundation, we will support existing and new Google Cloud customers onboard to Web3 by offering easy deployment of nodes and indexers on the Tezos protocol”.
Mason Edwards, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the Tezos Foundation added:
“Having spent a few years helping to build Google Cloud in my former role, what excited me is the partnership is a shared cultural alignment with the Tezos ecosystem for engineering excellence.”
